JAMB is the acronym for Joint Admission And Matriculation Board. It is an examination body basically responsible for conducting examination into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. JAMB examination was introduced by Mr. Michael Saidu Angulu (JAMB’s First Registrar) in other to create a system where undergraduates will be tested properly before offered admission into institutions in Nigeria.
Nevertheless, it is also important to know that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) alone, cannot secure an admission for an undergraduate in Nigeria. An excellent result from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is also required.
